Quick Tip - Muscle Car Quiz

One of the most popular pages on the website is directly related to which muscle car to buy, and that's our muscle car quiz page.

The quiz is totally unscientific and just for fun but we think it does ask some very important questions that you should answer before you start browsing want ads to buy muscle cars. {Note that you have to manually add up your points. We are muscle car lovers, not website developers!)

When you click on the WHICH MUSCLE CAR? link at the bottom of the quiz, it will take you to another page to describe what kind of muscle car buyer you are.

If you haven't already taken the quiz, click HERE.

Featured Muscle Car Search Location

This month we are featuring Country Classic Cars as a recommended muscle car dealer. This dealership is located in Staunton, Illinois very near St. Louis and the Gateway Arch. They are right off of Interstate 55 at Exit 41 on the frontage road. Watch for the signs!

The intriguing circle of cars is the first thing to catch your eye. It stretches forever around the dealership property and is worth the cruise even if you aren't looking for a classic muscle car for sale.

While the circle drive could keep you entertained for a long time, you must stop and go into the huge building that houses hundreds of amazing classic cars and trucks.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The day we were there they charged a $1 admission. According to the lady at the gate they do that to reduce the number of drive-throughs. Believe me, it is well worth the buck.

County Classic Cars doesn't sell high-end, collectible muscle cars. The majority of their inventory would be considered "project cars" though most are drivable. The prices are very reasonable and for the most part are in line with or lower than going prices elsewhere. If you want to get see their inventory, you can visit their website before planning a personal trip.

There's even a special Rt. 66 gift shop if you can drag yourself away from the cars. For a full description and a video of our visit to Country Classic Cars, click here.

Choosing The Right Muscle Car for Sale

Is it crazy to ask why you want a muscle car? Don't five or six reasons come right to mind? Sure they do. The power! the sound! the styling! the memories! But the bottom line is this: you can grab the first muscle car for sale you see and end up with an empty wallet and the wrong ride in your garage.

Though the muscle car quiz page mentioned above is written for fun, reading the questions can actually help you decide which muscle car to buy. For example, a lot of quiz questions ask what you plan to do with the muscle car of your dreams once you buy it.

Can you see how a muscle car buyer that hopes to drive their '69 Camaro to the local cruise-in is going to be excited by a very different car than the guy who wants to hit the drag strip every weekend? In the same way, a guy who is into heavy modifications should not buy a muscle car that has been restored to like-new original condition. How many of us want a '71 Hemi 'Cuda before we find out we'd have to mortgage the house to buy one? or would a clone Hemi be okay? Knowing what you really want to do with your muscle car is critical to making the right purchase.

Another decision to be made before you set out to buy muscle cars is the price limit. What can you afford? If you've ever watched a car auction you know how easy it is to get carried away when a beautiful dream machine is right within your grasp. Set a reasonable budget and be willing to walk away from what seems to be the perfect muscle car if the price exceeds your budget. Our site will give you the information you need to find your muscle car. Don't think that the first '71 Mustang Mach I you see is the only one you'll find.

Depending on your individual situation, don't forget to make sure other family members are aware of and in agreement with the amount of time and money you'll be spending on your muscle car. Sounds like common sense but it's worth having the conversation anyway.

Once you have a handle on which muscle car you really want for your specific plans and you have a set budget, you can merge those two factors to determine the exact muscle car for you. You'll be glad you took the time to understand precisely which muscle car to buy, especially when you are in a grown-up toy store like Country Classic Cars drooling over some awesome American muscle!

There is a lot more information on the site to help you decide which muscle car to buy. It could be modern muscle or maybe you'd like a brand new factory-built '67 Camaro convertible? Is your budget under $10K? There are suggestions in this price range, too.
