Our neighbor roared down the street on his shiny black Harley with a big smile on his face, even though he was probably colder than he expected. At the larger car shows, there can be hundreds of muscle cars for sale of every make and model, every year, every price range and all right there for you to see at one time. Sure beats reading classified ads online or in a magazine, doesn't it? Don't discount smaller local car shows. They may not have as large a selection but if the classic American muscle car you are looking for is there, who cares how many other cars are in the car corral? How to Find Muscle Car ShowsHopefully this newsletter has convinced you that one of the best places to find a muscle car for sale is at a large muscle car show. If you don't live near the shows we reviewed in Our Favorites, here are few suggestions on how to find a muscle car show in your area.The major car shows are usually advertised in muscle car magazines. Get a copy of Hemmings Muscle Machines or Hemmings Classic Car or Hemmings Motor News from your local drug store or book store. Flipping through the pages you'll see many shows advertised. There will also be an upcoming events section, usually near the back of the publication. For manufacturer specific muscle car shows, buy a copy of Super Chevy magazine or Mopar Muscle magazine or something similar. Another option is to go to the Hemmings website and click on the Events search engine on the left of the home page. You can find everything from local car cruises to major car shows for every state, and can sort by date, type of show, state and more. We've found good shows from the Hemmings website but not all shows are listed there. Go to your favorite search engine (such as Google or Yahoo) and type in your state name and the words "car show" or "car corral." The search results will give you another selection of car shows to consider. You can also include a specific manufacturer or model to further narrow the search. By the way, it's useful to also include the current year in your search. For example
