Welcome New Subscribers! and Welcome Back Old Friends! In this issue we're featuring the spring Charlotte AutoFair, a huge car show held at Charlotte Motor Speedway every year. If you start your muscle car search at the Charlotte AutoFair, it just may end here as well. There are over a thousand muscle cars for sale at this venue, just waiting for your inspection.
New on the WebsiteHere are two new pages that should help your muscle car search. The first gives examples of what $10,000 buys in today's market. Currently we are featuring Chevy Camaros. The second page shows what $20,000 buys. We'll update these pages regularly to keep you informed of what your muscle car money can buy. Tip - Finding Muscle Car EventsThis issue's feature article is about the spring Charlotte AutoFair, but there are many similar venues all over the country where you can start your muscle car search. As mentioned on the muscle car shows page on the website, the Hemmings event calendar is an excellent source to research these events. You simply enter your state, a date range, and the type of event you want to attend and a list of events is provided. Find a show near you and hit the car corral! Muscle Car Search:Charlotte AutoFairIt's almost time - in two weeks the Charlotte AutoFair for 2011 kicks off! What's so great about this event? How about 2000 classic and muscle cars for sale in one spot? Where else are you going to get that? Believe me, there are so many great cars for sale, it's easy to keep walking and looking at the next row of cars and the next row and the next row...until you suddenly realize you can't remember where you saw that awesome Mustang that deserves a second look. Take a scratch pad or use your SmartPhone to keep track of cars you want to find again. Speaking of all that walking, be sure to wear comfortable shoes because you will be doing some serious walking. The AutoFair is held at Charlotte Motor Speedway near Charlotte, North Carolina. The entire infield, most of the levels of the stadium itself and all of the surrounding fields are used for this car show. The show is held in both April and August. We have never attended the August show but have heard that it is not as large as the April show. The Antique Automobile Club of America has a major regional show going on (the real purpose of the AutoFair) and many other regional car clubs are there as well, which means thousands of great show cars for you to look at, too. An auto auction is part of the event and it is fun to observe, even if you aren't interested in bidding. In addition to everything else, there are literally thousands of vendors selling everything imaginable to do with classic and muscle cars. PLUS you get an up-close and personal look at places at the Speedway a Nascar fan never gets to see on race day. For example, there are special displays in the Speedway garage that are open for your viewing. Are you ready to go? Here's the direct link to the AutoFair. To get an idea of what the event is like, check out our short video featuring some nice Fords we saw for sale at one of the previous Charlotte AutoFairs. This is one mega-event that anyone on a muscle car search should try to attend at least once, especially if you are east of the Mississippi.
